Southland Weimaraner Clunb Specialties and Obedience/Rally Trial
Ventura County Fairgrounds, Ventura, California

As in the previous two years, we held back to back Specalties again this year, on Thurday July 7, 2011, along with an Obedience & Rally Trial at Seaside Park in Ventura, CA. Our Specialties were in conjunction with the WCA Western Futurity/Maturity and 3 All-Breed shows. This gave us 5 shows in 4 days with 5 point majors in bitches everyday!. The weather was in the 70's with a cool ocean breeze, as the show grounds are located right on the coastline of the Pacific Coast. Our breed judge for the morning Specialty was Mrs. Madeleine Fish from Old Saybrook, CT and the afternoon Specialty judge was Dr. Ruby Hertz from Oakland, CA. Our Obedience and Rally judge was Mr. Laurence Libeu from Santa Ynez, CA.

A delicious PotLuck Lunch was enjoyed between the 2 Specialties by the many exhibitors and friends who donated their favorite dish. On Friday morning in conjunction with the Channel City KC show, the WCA Western Futurity & Maturity was judged by Miss Virginia Lyne from Canada. Friday afternoon following the Sporting Group judging, SWC hosted a Wine/Margarita Hospitality get-together where the Futurity & Maturity Pewter Dogs were awarded to the Winners.
