As in the previous years, we held back to back Specalties again this year, on Thurday July 4, 2013, in conjuction with the WCA Western Futurity/Maturity and 3 All-Breed shows. The weather was in the low 70’s, staying cool with the cloud cover most of the day. The showgrounds are located right on the coastline of the pacific ocean in Ventura, CA. Our breed judge for the morning Specialty was Mr Richard Powell from Bainbridge, PA and the afternoon Specialty judge was Mrs. Wendy Willhauck from Mansfield, MA. Our Rally judge was Mr William Iwamoto from Santa Barbara, CA.

On Thursday a delicious PotLuck Lunch was enjoyed ringside between the morning & afternoon Specialties by the many exhibitors and friends who donated their favorite dishes. The big winner of the 50/50 raffle was won by Lee Meadows. On Friday morning in conjunction with the Channel City KC show, the WCA Western Futurity & Maturity was held & judged by Mr Sam Houston McDonald from Chester Springs, PA.  At lunchtime SWC hosted a Barbeque of hamburgers, hotdogs and side dishes for the exhibitors in the Motorhome Hospitality area, where the Futurity & Maturity Pewter Dogs and Plaques were awarded to the Winners.
